But, this bread. Since last time, the recipe has gone like this:
Day 7: Mush bag.
Day 8: Mush bag.
Day 9: Mush bag.
Day 10: Time to make the bread...
1. Pour entire contents from the bag into a non-metal bowl.
2. Add 1 1/2 c flour, 1 1/2 c sugar, and 1 1/2 c milk.
3. Measure out 4 separate batters of 1 1/2 c each into Ziploc bags. One for you and three for friends along with a copy of this recipe. Should this not be passed on to a friend the first day, be certain to tell a friend which day the bag is at when you present it to them. It is helpful to date the bags.
4. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
5. Add the remaining batter into a bowl and add:
3 eggs
1 c oil (I used 1/2 c oil, 1/2 c applesauce)
1/2 c milk
1 c sugar
2 t cinnamon
1/2 t vanilla
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
2 c flour
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
6. Grease 2 loaf pans and mix additional 1/2 c sugar and 1 t cinnamon and dust the pans with half of that mixture.
7. Pour batter evenly into the pans and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over the top. Bake one hour, cool until bread loosens from the pan evenly (about 10 minutes_ and turn out into a serving dish.
Enjoy!!

I have made mine twice now and we love it. Makes good muffins too.
Sarah, I've been following in your adventure with the friendship bread. You've done an excellent job. Now I will try it. Wish me luck. Great post food buddy.
Hi Sarah, I've never made Friendship bread, but I have made Friendship cake, just once. What a hoot! It bubbles up just about all over and smells like a brewery, but the cakes are delicious. Never again. Too much work, though I still have the recipe. I'm so excited that I've found a North Carolinian who blogs. I've been blogging for one year (judyskitchen.blogspot.com) and you're the first NC gal I've run into. Hope you get a chance to visit my blog, and I will be back to check on your adventures. PS - My neighbor (and good friend) is Tom McCabe, who just opened the new photography studio on base.
